The Boston Red Sox have had one of their most inconsistent and lukewarm seasons that I can remember in my 15 or so seasons of being a die-hard fan. One of their biggest problems this year has been the inability to win on a consistent basis against any opponent.
The Red Sox can’t gather any momentum at all this season. Inconsistency on both the pitching and hitting end have been an issue. The offense either scores 10+ runs or fewer than three, and the starting rotation either gives you six shutout innings, or two innings and six runs.
