BOSTON -- Friday night at Fenway Park marked the beginning of the second half of the regular season for the Boston Red Sox, game No. 82. Still mired in last place, the old “we’ll get 'em tomorrow” attitude will soon fall on deaf ears.

For at least one more night, which resulted in a 12-8 loss in 10 innings to the Houston Astros, that attitude was all they had.
