One of the top dominos that has yet to fall so far this offseason for the Red Sox is whether or not Boston will be able to re-sign slugging infielder Alex Bregman.
But could Boston already have a potential contingency plan in place if Bregman signs elsewhere or prices himself out of the Red Sox’ range in a bidding war?
According to WEEI’s Rob Bradford, the Red Sox are “showing interest’ in Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette, who is expected to be one of the top free agents out on the open market this winter.
