Craig Kimbrel didn’t know if he was allowed to cheer.
That’s how special of a catch Cleveland Indians center fielder Austin Jackson made to rob Hanley Ramirez of a home run during the Red Sox’ eventual 12-10 win last night at Fenway.
The Sox trailed by two runs when Ramirez slugged one to right-center to start the fifth inning. Jackson tracked back and made it to the wall protecting the bullpen before he leaped “12 feet in the air,” joked Red Sox reliever Heath Hembree, and hauled in the catch while tumbling over the center-field wall.
