The Red Sox still haven’t sorted out the first base position for 2025, but does that mean it’s too early to start worrying about the third base position for 2026? Alex Bregman is playing at an All-Star level, which, of course, increases the likelihood that he opts out of the extremely player-friendly deal the Sox signed him to over the winter. Bregman’s agent Scott Boras recently discussed just that, along with the possibility that Bregman would consider signing a restructured extension that would keep him off the market this offseason.
