Specifically, the Sox want him to stay stretched out as a starter and work on his arsenal with an aim of adding more variety to his pitch shapes and velocity. It sounds like Cooper Criswell will remain with the big league club in Winckowski’s old swing man role when Garrett Whitlock returns.
