The next day, the Red Sox played at Fenway Park and that is where David Ortiz gave his very well-known “Boston Strong” speech. The Sox dedicated the rest of their season to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing.

Boston was brought together because of this event. The Red Sox were able to take people’s mind off of this horrible event and for three hours a day, people could watch baseball and not worry about anything else.
