It was announced today that Michael Chavis will be joining Triple-A Pawtucket for his rehab assignment. He joins the PawSox in Buffalo tonight and was in the starting lineup against the Bisons.
This is good news as the Red Sox are in dire need of a spark as they enter the final few weeks of the season. With a massive deficit to overcome in the standings and not much time to do so, having Chavis back with the main roster could give them the energy they need.
