David Price had his throwing program put on hold today because of lingering soreness in his elbow. The Red Sox are not sure when he’ll resume doing long toss.
“There's still some general soreness that feels like he still needs some additional time and treatment addressed,” manager John Farrell said.
Price’s timetable for return is still very much up in the air. Farrell said there’s no scheduled date for a bullpen session, no planned rehab assignment, and no day in mind for him to be back in a big league game. Price experienced a recurrence of his spring training injury during the last week of July, and his rehab plan will depend on how he feels on a daily basis.
