BOSTON (AP) -- The Boston Red Sox held a team meeting before Monday night's game against the Atlanta Braves as they tried to snap a six-game losing streak.
The Red Sox were the favorites to win the AL East after finishing last in 2014. Instead, they entered the night with a 27-37 record that left them eight games out in the division.
Manager John Farrell was asked before the game if he has heard the fans calling for him to be fired. He says, ''That comes with the territory.''
Farrell wouldn't say what was discussed at the meeting.
