Amidst the Boston Red Sox march in the second half towards a playoff spot, one of the biggest reasons why has been the play of Roman Anthony. After experiencing a bit of a slow start after he was finally called up to the big leagues in June, Anthony has been amazing over his last 55 games with a .329/.420/.514 line to show for his efforts. Unfortunately, all of that good work is currently in jeopardy.
All was well on Tuesday as the Red Sox jumped all over the Guardians early to take a 5-1 lead. However, after taking an awkward hack in the fourth inning and grabbing at his back/side, Anthony was taken out of the game the next inning.
