ARLINGTON, Texas -- Once again, the Red Sox did not take batting practice.
While individual players can work on their swings in the indoor batting cages at their leisure, the Red Sox haven’t taken team batting practice on the field this entire road trip.
They’ve won all five games and scored 47 runs.
On a six-game winning streak heading into Wednesday night’s series finale against the Texas Rangers, manager John Farrell found no reason to force it.
“Well we’re not talking it today and we’re going to land (in Tampa Bay) at 4:30 or 5 o’clock tomorrow morning, so I would say tomorrow is out,” Farrell said.
