Pedro through the years

Pedro Martinez was one of the most dominant pitchers to wear a Red Sox uniform. With his enshrinement into the Baseball Hall of Fame this weekend, here is a look back at some of his most memorable moments in Boston:

Nov. 18, 1997: As a soon-to-be free agent, Martinez is dealt from the Expos to the Red Sox for pitching prospects Carl Pavano and Tony Armas, Jr.

Dec. 10, 1997: Martinez becomes the highest paid pitcher in baseball when general manager Dan Duquette signs him to a six-year deal worth $75 million.

April 1, 1998: Martinez goes seven shutout innings in his Red Sox debut, blanking the Oakland A’s, 2-0.
