Another exciting Red Sox prospect has been given his first call-up to the Major League level.
Jhostynxon Garcia, who was given the enjoyable nickname “The Password” in 2021 due to the unusual spelling of his name, received the call-up on Thursday afternoon prior to Boston’s pivotal four-game series against the Yankees in New York. The news was reported and confirmed by Tommy Cassell of the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, and MassLive’s Katie Morrison-O’Day.
“[I] had the urge to cry once I heard the news,” he said via WooSox coach Iggy Suarez’s translation.
