According to the autograph seekers out front, Dustin Pedroia is with the Red Sox at Kauffmann Stadium -- and apparently he was in a signing mood -- but he's not in the lineup for tonight's series opener against the Royals.
That news hardly comes as a surprise after Pedroia ended his time in Houston with a trip to the hospital to get an x-ray on his back. He was in the back of his rib cage by a pitch last night, and although he seemed fine initially, he was ultimately pulled from the game in the ninth inning.
