Three years after he won a World Series title with the Giants, Pablo Sandoval will officially be back in a San Francisco Giants uniform.
Brandon Belt went on the 7-day concussion disabled list after being hit in the head with a 78-mph curveball on Friday, which led the Giants to call up Sandoval.
Sandoval is expected to start Saturday night’s game against the Arizona Diamondbacks if he arrives in time from Omaha, where the Sacramento River Cats are playing, according to SFGate.com.
Sandoval has played 12 games in the minors and has been underwhelming so far.
