On paper, the Sox are approaching what might be the easiest week on the schedule. An off-day going into a three game series in Washington against the Nationals followed by a return home to play the Colorado Rockies, who are currently on pace to lose the most games of any team in MLB history.
It sure would have been nice to go into that stretch on a three game winning streak behind a sweep of the Reds with a chance to build some real momentum, but alas, the late innings of last night’s game happened.
