And they don’t necessarily need an in-person meeting to win over a free agent.
Giolito says he had an “amazing” Zoom call/pitch with members of the org, and feels the Sox are “a great fit for me.” He calls himself a big fan of Andrew Bailey and was also drawn to the history of the Red Sox and Fenway.
