Live blog: Red Sox look to even up the ALCS in Game 2

Just 16 hours after Game 1 ended, the Red Sox and Astros will take the field in Houston for Game 2 of the ALCS at 4:20 p.m.

After the Red Sox took a 3-1 lead in the third inning in Game 1, home runs from Jose Altuve and Carlos Correa helped give the Astros a 4-3 lead that eventually turned into a 5-3 lead. Kiké Hernández hit his second solo homer of the night in the ninth, but the Red Sox rally ended there and the Astros held on to win Game 1, 5-4.

Saturday’s Game 2 could possibly be the final game in Houston played this series as the series will shift to Boston for Games 3-5.
