MILWAUKEE — Ian Kennedy didn't feel like the travel back and forth to see his newborn daughter affected his game.
Kennedy gave up four earned runs on seven hits in seven innings in the San Diego Padres' 8-5 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night. He struck out seven without a walk, but the Padres still lost consecutive games for the first time since July 23.
Kennedy (6-10) rejoined the team in Milwaukee on Tuesday after he left Saturday because of the birth of his fourth child the day before. He is 2-5 in his last eight starts.
