Jackie Bradley Jr. notched four more hits, as Red Sox outslug Blue Jays

There's a scene from the 1987 Mel Brooks "Star Wars" spoof "Spaceballs" in which the evil Dark Helmet, played perfectly by Rick Moranis, orders his spaceship to be accelerated from light speed to "ludicrous speed."

In that spirit, Jackie Bradley Jr. warmed today from scorching hot to ludicrously hot.

Bradley, the one-time light-hitting young outfielder, continued his ridiculous run at the plate by going 4-for-4 with a home run and four RBI in the Red Sox' 11-4 rout of the first-place Blue Jays in the opener of a three-game series at Fenway Park.

Against all odds, the Sox outslugged the Jays, who have pounded their way to the top of the AL East.
