July is here, which means one thing in Major League Baseball: Trade season has arrived.
The MLB trade deadline is back on its long-standing date this year, with teams able to make trades until 6 p.m. ET on July 31. Of course, that didn’t stop the Red Sox from making a major move earlier than that, trading Rafael Devers to the Giants in June.
Despite that move, there are some indications that the Red Sox could be buyers at this year’s trade deadline. The team completed its sweep of the Nationals on Sunday, moving them to 46-45 as they’ve won five of their last six.
