I have a soft spot for the Mets. Not just because they’ve been a funny, kind of pathetic little team for most of my life. And not just because of the whole “enemy of my enemy thing,” either. I like them because they’re always interesting, with interesting and fun players.
Unfortunately, one of those interesting and fun players is pitching against the Red Sox tonight: Kodai Senga with his ghost splitter. And the bottom half of the Sox lineup looks like a bunch of puppy dogs. And, oh yeah, there’s also Juan Soto and Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso in the lineup.
