Today is a big day at Fenway Park. First of all, the Yankees coming into town in a huge divisional matchup with Boston a half-game behind the Rays for first place in the AL East, with New York just three-and-a-half games back of the Sox. So the Red Sox are looking to put more of a gap there in the standings and get off on the right foot Friday night.
But it’s also a big night because it is Dustin Pedroia night. The former second baseman and heart and soul of this club, as we all know, retired earlier this season.
