The Red Sox are 86-36, and an astounding 10.5 games ahead of the New York Yankees for a potential third straight division title. The Yankees themselves are 5.5 games ahead of the Mariners for a wild card slot. This means the Red Sox are 16 games up on the Mariners. With 40 games left to play, and the Red Sox being incredible, I’m going to go out on a limb and say the Red Sox are making the playoffs. Bold, I know.
With that said, however, there are a few questions over just who should play for the Red Sox in the playoffs.
