CHICAGO — Moments after signing off last night, NESN analyst Jerry Remy bade an emotional farewell to his booth partner of the past 15 years, Don Orsillo.
Earlier in the day, word leaked out that NESN will not be bringing back Orsillo. After NESN acknowledged the dismissal during the White Sox’ 5-4 victory against the Red Sox, Remy spoke about Orsillo.
“He’s been an outstanding partner for 15 years, and I’m truly going to miss him on a work-related side, and I’m going to miss him on a personal side because he’s also become a very, very close friend of mine,” said Remy, standing in the visiting team’s broadcast booth at U.
