Red Sox manager John Farrell said he talked to Dustin Pedroia after Saturday’s 8-3 loss to the Oakland A’s and they decided Pedroia would no longer get the day off on Sunday as originally planned.
"He and I spoke before yesterday’s game, as we do every day, and the intent would’ve been to give him a couple of days down as he’s been going every single day," Farrell said. "But we spoke again after the game yesterday. And he’s back in the lineup today.
"We need everybody in the lineup.
