The Red Sox are 0-for-1 this week when it comes to judging when it’s time to send a player with a knee injury back onto the field.
They’re trying again tonight.
Dustin Pedroia returned to the Red Sox’ lineup to play second base against the Toronto Blue Jays after getting two days off. He’s making his fourth start in 10 days.
“I feel good, ready to go,” he said. “I like playing baseball.”
With five games left, he thinks it’s ready to push his sprained left knee as hard as he can.
“We put the work in, it's time to deal with it,” he said.
