Red Sox boss Dave Dombrowski does expect David Price to pitch again this season. But there’s no timetable for when it will happen.
"I don't really know when that will be,” Dombrowski said today after the Sox placed Price on the disabled list and scratched him from tonight’s scheduled start against the Royals.
Dombrowski said he doesn’t expect to make a trade for a starting pitcher by Monday’s trade deadline. For now, Doug Fister will replace Price in the Sox rotation.
“We feel comfortable with Doug Fister moving into rotation,” he said.
“We’re not going to go out and make a big trade for a starting pitcher.
