Devers sent to DL with inflamed shoulder

The Red Sox placed third baseman Rafael Devers on the 10-day disabled list Thursday with left shoulder inflammation and recalled infielder Tzu-Wei Lin from Triple-A Pawtucket ahead of Thursday's game against the Blue Jays at Fenway Park in Boston.

Devers, 21, has hit .241 with 14 home runs and 48 RBIs in his first full Major League season, appearing in 89 of Boston's 94 games. In 31 games since June 6, he has batted .275 with a .790 OPS. He has hit .258 with 24 home runs and 78 RBIs in 147 big league games.

Lin, 24, has gone 6-for-37 with two doubles in 16 games over two stints with Boston this season.
