The second half of the Boston Red Sox's season opened with three tough matchups against first-place teams. The Los Angeles Dodgers will be the last of them.
LA and Boston will play a three-game series at Fenway Park beginning on July 25. Former Red Sox fan favorite and sure-fire future Hall of Famer Mookie Betts may not participate in the series-opening game on Friday evening. Los Angeles manager Dave Roberts spoke about Betts' circumstances after its July 23 win over the Minnesota Twins.
“There might be some things going on that he might not be around, that he’s got to deal with personally,” Roberts said.
