SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. -- Just as Sam Travis continues to heat up, so do the Scottsdale Scorpions.
Travis sent his teammates into a frenzy with a three-run walk-off homer as Scottsdale topped Salt River, 10-8, in 11 innings Monday.
"It was a 3-0 pitch and I was just looking for a pitch to drive to the outfield," the No. 11 prospect in the Red Sox system said. "Tying run on third, less than two outs, I was just looking for something to go to the outfield and I was obviously going to be very selective with it being 3-0.
