Boston sports teams tell fans to take a stand against racism

BOSTON (AP) — The Boston area’s five professional sports teams are telling their fans to take a stand against racism and discrimination.

In a new initiative they’re calling ‘‘Take the Lead,’’ the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, Bruins, and Revolution are joining to fight against hate speech that has sometimes bled into their sports venues.

Because if we all take the lead together, hate falls behind.#TakeTheLead https://t.co/cd08rsGOYj pic.twitter.com/kJmrbEmJUp
