BOSTON -- The 2021 Boston Red Sox are turning Boston into Slam City.
The Red Sox padded their lead against the Houston Astros in Game 3 of the ALCS with a Kyle Schwarber homer that scored Christian Arroyo, Alex Verdugo and J.D. Martinez to put Boston up 6-0 in the second inning.
Schwarber's grand slam marked Boston's third of the postseason and the series, making them the first team since the 1998 Atlanta Braves to hit three in a postseason -- and the first to do so in a series.
