In a blog I submitted last December, I wrote that everyone who saw Red Sox righthander Allen Webster pitch was impressed by his stuff. In 8 seasons in the minors, he had a slash of 50-39/3.86/1.357
Webster was traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks in late 2014 along with Rubby De La Rosa and a minor league prospect.
I wrote that it remained to be seen whether Webster would succeed where the pressure was much less than Fenway ( the Diamondbacks attendance was a bit over 25,000, 12th out of 15 National League teams).
Webster did not, unfortunately, succeed in Arizona.
