3 Red Sox who survived the 2025 trade deadline but will be gone in the offseason

The Boston Red Sox made it past the trade deadline without dealing anyone from their 40-man roster (though, maybe they should've).

The Red Sox sent prospects to the Cardinals and Dodgers to bolster their pitching staff, which leaves their roster packed and many of its issues unresolved. Boston still has an outfield logjam it didn't resolve and more middle infielders than it knows what to do with, split between the major and minor leagues.

The Sox seem primed to trade some of their roster bloat over the offseason to bolster their roster in areas of need, like the rotation or first base.
