Report: Pablo Sandoval Was Denied Room Service By San Francisco Giants

On the heels of a former personal trainer calling out Pablo Sandoval for overeating, a report has surfaced that the Boston Red Sox third baseman was denied room service while a member of the San Francisco Giants

The Giants would tell hotel front desks not to allow Sandoval to indulge himself, according to CSN Boston's Sean McAdam, though the team obviously couldn't monitor him around the clock. McAdams also stated his belief that Sandoval has a serious eating disorder, as the former All-Star reportedly spent a lot of time in the gym this past offseason.

Sandoval's ex-trainer Ethan Banning likened the Panda's problem to alcoholism, saying he had to "babysit" and "hand-hold" Sandoval in his years working with him.

Sandoval, who is currently on the disabled list with what many believe to be a phantom injury, lost his starting job to Travis Shaw in spring training after showing up overweight. He is currently in year two of a five-year, $95 million pact with the Red Sox.
