Woll Stops All 37 Shots in Game One Victory

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Behind a season-high 37 saves from sophomore goaltender Joseph Woll, the second-year backstopper anchored No. 1-seeded Boston College's third shutout in as many years to open the Hockey East quarterfinals as the Eagles shutout No. 10-seeded Merrimack, 1-0, on Friday night at Kelley Rink.

Sophomore defenseman Connor Moore scored his first-career game-winning goal, capitalizing on a late power play opportunity in the second period that stood as the difference down the stretch.

The Warriors limited BC to only 13 shots while firing 37 off themselves but Merrimack could not solve Woll for all 60 minutes.
