The Eagles advanced to the second round after defeating Maine, 69-44, on Thursday. It was the first postseason win for BC since 2011 and the 20th overall for the season.
Quinnipiac defeated Rhode Island on Friday evening, X-X, to advance to the second round of the tournament. The Bobcats are 21-11 to the season and finished 14-6 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. They advanced to the semifinal round of the MAAC Tournament, where they fell to Manhattan.
