Tyler Mudd shines in relief and Eagles roll to 9-2 victory on Opening Day

SCOTTSDALE, Az. — Boston College Baseball (1-0, 0-0) took down the Ohio State 9-2 in the 2024 season opener, and in head coach Todd Interdonato's debut as Boston College head coach. After going down a run in the opening frame, starter John West (Shrewsbury, Mass.) battled back for consecutive strikeouts to escape the early jam. The Eagles didn't trail for long, with transfer John Collins (New York, N.Y.) lining a double down the left field line to plate two runs and give BC the lead, which they would not relinquish.
