CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College scored three unanswered goals in the third period on Friday and came back to defeat UConn 5-3 in Hockey East play on Senior Night at Kelley Rink.
The Eagles (13-14-6, 8-10-5 HEA) secured home ice in the Hockey East Opening Round next Wednesday night and can improve their seeding in the regular season finale on Saturday.
Down 3-2 in the third period, tipped a shot from from the left half wall to the blocker side post as BC knotted the score at 9:17. Less than two minutes later, left wing shot trickled off the glove of Logan Terness and tapped in the rebound at the right post for a 4-3 lead.
