Spencer Knight to Make NHL Debut for Florida Panthers

SUNRISE, Fla. – Spencer Knight is expected to make his National Hockey League debut tonight as the starting goaltender for the Florida Panthers against the Columbus Blue Jackets at the BB&T Center.

Knight will become the 77th former Boston College men's hockey player to appear in the NHL and the seventh goalie (Scott Clemmenson, Thatcher Demko, Scott Gordon, David Littman, Cory Schneider and Paul Skidmore).

Knight was named a First Team All-American following his sophomore season. In addition to being named the Hockey East Player of the Year, he was a Top-10 Finalist for the Hobey Baker Award and a Top-3 Finalist for the Mike Richter Award.
