WEYMOUTH, Mass. — The Boston College Eagles (9-7, 2-6) fell 6-1 to the top-ranked North Carolina Tar Heels on Friday afternoon.
The Tar Heels took the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2, with Sophia Edwards and Stephanie Sanchez playing to a 3-5 score before UNC clinched the point.
In singles play, junior Sophia Edwards continues to play her best tennis of the season, picking up her second straight singles win over a ranked opponent in as many matches, putting Boston College on the board.
