Sigurdarson and Suski Power Eagles Past Holy Cross 3-2 in Overtime

NEWTON, Mass. – Michael Suski's penalty in the 95th minute powered Boston College past Holy Cross 3-2 in overtime on Tuesday night to preserve an unbeaten four-match homestand for the Eagles.

BC improved to 3-1-1 overall after a 3-0-1 stretch at the Newton Soccer Complex while handing the previously unbeaten Crusaders (3-1-2) their first loss of the season.

The teams went into the final 15 minutes of regulation scoreless before combining for four back-and-forth goals in just over five minutes.

Stefan Sigurdarson flicked a header from a Sam White feed past Jimmy Joyce in the 79th minute to break the deadlock, but Evan Jones responded for Holy Cross just 1:05 later.
