Sheehan, Eagles Dominate Weekend Opener vs. Miami

BRIGHTON, Mass. – The Boston College baseball team opened its series against Miami with a 13-0 win behind six-shutout innings from junior right-hander Emmet Sheehan (Darien, Conn.). The Eagles improved to 18-21 overall and 7-18 in the ACC, while the Hurricanes dropped to 23-14 and 14-13.

For the second Friday night in a row, Sheehan (5-3) provided BC with a scoreless-outing to win its weekend opener. He struck out nine and allowed just one hit; a first-inning double. Sheehan scattered three walks and two batters. He struck out three batters in the second and fifth innings.
