CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – Boston College junior Sophia Reineke and junior Aapeli Räsänen have been named the Musco Lighting Eagles of the Week for their performances this past weekend.
Reinke took home the national title in the Singlehanded National Championships in Santa Barbara, Calif. The skipper scored 59 points, besting second-place Christina Sakellaris of Stanford by nine for the title. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida native got off to a strong start, finishing no lower than fourth in the first eight races. Reineke won the first, fifth and 13th races on the day on her way to the championship.
