ON TO WINSTON SALEM!: Boston College Field Hockey Downs No. 4 Louisville, Clinches Spot in Final Four

A nail biter of a quarterfinal came down to sudden death penalty strokes, but it was the Boston College Eagles who emerged victorious Saturday afternoon in Louisville after the Eagles won the shootout and beat the Louisville Cardinals 1-1 (5-4) to advance to the Final Four in Winston-Salem, N.C. to take on UNC.

The Eagles closed out the first half dramatically. With four seconds remaining, Elizabeth Warner put home a shot to give the Eagles the 1-0 lead.

However, the lead was short lived. Just under five minutes into the second half, Bethany Russ sent a shot in from the top of the arc that beat Sarah Dwyer to tie the game up.
