BOSTON – TJ Semptimphelter stopped 41 of the 42 Boston College shots he faced and the Eagles' third period surge fell short in a 3-1 loss to No. 15 Northeastern on Monday night in the 69th Beanpot at TD Garden.
The Huskies advance to face Boston University in the Championship Game next Monday.
Patrick Giles scored the lone BC goal in the third period, his third Beanpot goal in four career games. Down 2-0 entering the third, Giles took a beautiful feed from Nikita Nesterenko in the right circle and beat Semptimphelter high glove side to pull the Eagles within one.
