CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The ninth-ranked Boston College field hockey team travels to Winston-Salem, N.C., for a Friday evening bout with 13th-ranked Wake Forest at Kentner Stadium. The Eagles (11-5, 0-5 ACC) are seeking an Atlantic Coast Conference victory against the Demon Deacons (9-6, 2-3 ACC) to close out the conference slate.
BC has won all 11 of its non-conference games, including six ranked opponents, but been unsuccessful against in conference, dropping two of the five games by in extra time. All of the ACC teams were ranked in the top 11. After each BC loss, the Eagles responded with victories the following games, including three shutouts.
