NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Spencer Knight made 29 saves and No. 6 Boston College held off a late Merrimack push for a 3-2 Hockey East victory on Friday night at Lawler Arena.
The Eagles improved to 18-8-1 overall and 11-6-0 in Hockey East, moving just two points shy of first place UMass with two games in hand. The Warriors fell to 7-20-3 (5-12-3 HEA).
Trailing 1-0 after 20 minutes, seniors Luke McInnis and Ron Greco netted goals in the second period to put BC ahead for good. Zach Walker assisted on both tallies for his second career multi-point performance.
